I was wondering when Mr. Carey’s career mobility would be explained. <br />

This is a facet of information warfare I hadn't considered.  I wonder how our allies look.  If information dominance is what we’re after, maybe we should go sit at the knee of the pros and take good notes. <br />
<br />
When I read about the NMCI many years ago, it did not seem possible that subordinating military organizational effectiveness to limiting service level agreements and corporate private property (where the penalty for catastrophic failure is a temporary hit on the [EDS-sized] profit margin) could possibly be the right thing to do where national security work is involved.<br />

CyberCIEGE enhances information assurance and cyber security education and training through the use of computer gaming techniques such as those employed in SimCity&#8482;. In the CyberCIEGE virtual world, users spend virtual money to operate and defend their networks, and can watch the consequences of their choices, while under attack.<br />
 <br />
Development and Availability<br />
Development of CyberCIEGE was sponsored by the US Navy, the Naval Education and Training Command, the Office of Naval Research, the Biometrics Task Force, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Numerous NPS students have participated in tool and scenario development.<br />

The FY-11 Information Dominance Corps Command and Leadership Screen Board (# 425) will convene on 13 SEPTEMBER 2010. The following information is provided to assist eligible members in preparing their records for this import milestone event. Your record represents you and your accomplishments as an IDC officer, so it’s in your best interest to ensure it is an accurate reflection of your performance. Officers should check their Officer Summary Record (OSR) and Web Enabled Record Review (WERR) on the BUPERS Online site (<a href="https://secure.bol.navy.mil" target="_blank">https://secure.bol.navy.mil</a>) to ensure your record (awards, AQDs, qualifications, etc) is up to date and correct. Also, a picture in your current rank is also a required part of your service record. All correspondence to the President of the Board, or updates to your record, need to be received by Navy Personnel Command Customer Service Center, not later than 3 SEPTEMBER 2010, to ensure that information is properly updated in your record.<br />

I think this would definitely open the aperture to the target audience of this board, as well as the increase the traffic between each site. <br />
<br />
For example: the SWO community was notoriously stingy about passing information until they embraced the new social media revolution... now the latest updates in the SWO world are pushed via Facebook, SailorBob.com, Twitter, etc. <br />
<br />
It would seem that if anyone should be able to get &quot;information dissemination&quot; right, it would be the communities in the Information Dominance Corps... :rolleyes:<br />

RMKS/1. THIS NAVADMIN ANNOUNCES THE CONFORMANCE TESTING OF THE NAVY WORKING UNIFORM<br />
(NWU) TYPE III (WOODLAND PATTERN) CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN FEATURES, AS ADDRESSED IN<br />
REF A. THE NWU TYPE III IS OF UNISEX DESIGN, AND INCLUDES THE NAVY'S LOGO (ANCHOR,<br />
CONSTITUTION, AND EAGLE) IMPRINTED IN THE PATTERN ON THE FABRIC. THE NWU TYPE III <br />
WILL REPLACE THE EXISTING TRI-COLORED WOODLAND CAMOUFLAGE UTILITY UNIFORM AND WILL <br />
BE THE STANDARD CAMOUFLAGE UNIFORM WORN IN CONUS. IT WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO BE WORN <br />
WHILE DEPLOYED, AS PRESCRIBED BY COMBATANT COMMANDERS. <br />
2. THE NWU TYPE III CONFORMANCE TEST WILL LAST FOR A PERIOD OF SIX WEEKS. 150 <br />
SAILORS, REPRESENTING NAVY SPECIAL WARFARE, NAVAL CONSTRUCTION FORCE, EXPLOSIVE <br />
ORDNANCE DISPOSAL, AND AMPHIBIOUS CONSTRUCTION BATTALION UNITS, WILL EVALUATE THE <br />
NWU TYPE III FORM, FIT, AND FUNCTION, AND PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON ITS PERFORMANCE IN <br />
VARIOUS TERRAINS DURING MULTIPLE GROUND EXERCISES. LEADERS FROM SPECIAL OPERATIONS<br />
COMMAND, NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE, NAVAL EXPEDITIONARY COMBAT COMMAND, AND NAVAL <br />
FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND WILL ALSO PARTICIPATE AND PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON THE <br />
UNIFORM. PERSONNEL WILL PRIMARLY BE SEEN WEARING THE UNIFORM IN THE VICINITIES OF <br />
NORFOLK, SAN DIEGO, TAMPA AND OTHER LOCATIONS WHERE CONFORMANCE TEST PERSONNEL ARE <br />
ASSIGNED. THE NWU TYPE III IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO BE WORN IN THE NATIONAL CAPITOL REGION. <br />
3. SAILORS WILL BE ISSUED TWO VERSIONS OF THE UNIFORM TO DETERMINE THE BEST FEATURES <br />
TO BE INCORPORATED INTO THE FINAL DESIGN OF THE NWU TYPE II (DESERT PATTERN) AND NWU <br />
TYPE III. BOTH VERSION 1 AND 2 ARE BASED ON THE NWU TYPE I SIZING, BUT INCORPORATE <br />
DIFFERENT DESIGN FEATURES, SUCH AS POCKET SIZE, POCKET FLAP DESIGN, RANK PLACEMENT <br />
AND TROUSER WAIST ADJUSTMENT. WEAR OF THE NWU TYPE III SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH <br />
NAVADMIN 188/09.<br />
4. THE RESULTS OF THE CONFORMANCE TEST WILL BE BRIEFED TO THE NAVY UNIFORM BOARD. <br />
PREPARATIONS FOR THE PRODUCTION CONTRACT ARE UNDERWAY. INITIAL FIELDING IS <br />
ANTICIPATED TO START IN THE SUMMER OF 2011.<br />
